PASSWORD RESET GUIDELINES
 
  • This platform is to be used to set or reset individual and/or corporate password
  • Fields marked with * are mandatory.
  • Passwords are case sensitive.
  • Date formats are as follows: yyyyMMdd e.g. 20140824
Individual Taxpayer Password Reset
  • An individual taxpayer can reset his or her password using one of the following:
    • - Tax Account Number (TAN)
    • - National Identity Card Number (NID)
    • - Non-Citizen Identity Card Number (NCID)
    • For authentication purposes, the taxpayer must enter the local mobile number or an email address registered with the MRA.
    • If the mobile number or email address entered does not match our records, the taxpayer will be required to provide the date of issue of his or her National Identity Card or Non-Citizen Identification card.
    • Upon successful authentication, a One-Time-Password (OTP) will be sent to the local mobile number or email address.
    • Taxpayer must enter the correct OTP and then proceed to set or reset his or her password
    • Once the password has been successfully set or reset, the taxpayer can log in using his or her username and the new password.
Corporate Password Reset
  • This platform is not applicable for Global Business (GBL) and Non Resident Companies.
    Management Companies may register as a service provider (Efiling Service Centre) and file returns (Excluding FATCA/CRS/CbCR) on behalf of Global Businesses and Non Resident Companies.
  • A company's password can be set/reset using Tax Account Number (TAN) or Employer Registration Number (ERN)
  • For authentication purposes, Company's Director should insert:
    • - The company Business Registration Number (BRN)
    • - His/her National Identity Card Number and corresponding Date of Issue
    • - In case of a foreign Director, Non-Citizen Identity Card Number and its Issue date
    • - His/her local mobile number/email address
  • Upon successful authentication, a One-Time-Password (OTP) will be sent to local mobile number/email address.
  • Taxpayer should insert correct OTP and then set/reset his/password
  • After password has been successfully set/reset, taxpayer can use his/her username and password to login.
  • The tables below show the type of username used for different filings
